Please contact Ali Porter (email@example.com) for more information about this pet.Handsome boy ISO forever family! ZORRO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Zorro Best Guess for Breed: Beagle and shepherd mix
Best Guess for Age: 4 months as of 6/22/21 SEX: Male
Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 17 lbs as of 6/22/21
Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Zeke passed a shelter cat test.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.
Additionally, Zieke arrived in our care with a bad left eye. It has been removed and he is much happier now - and he does wonderfully with his right eye!
Zieke is Looking For: His forever family! He and his brother Zorro came to the DC area to get their own homes. The shelter staff asked them what they are looking for in their homes and this is what they had to say: "I want one that gives me lots of snuggles and play time and lets me sleep on their laps when I'm tuckered out. And walks and romps too! ! I've heard there are lots of toys for puppies out there and I want to try them all to see which I like! Balls for fetch? Ropes to play tug? Squeaky plush toys to destroy? Oh and I want to go to obedience school, to learn to be the best pup I can be! So I go everywhere with you when I'm a little older.
What do you say? Do I get to grow up with you?"
What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster
Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 8/21/21. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date.
Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online HERE .
