Meet Gracie! This girl is 50 lbs of absolute love. She is a pittie mix who is around 3 years old - and there are no words for how much she loves people. She will happily plop down in your lap for some attention, and she loves to play as well. Gracie is doing very well with the resident dogs and would do well with another playful pup. Because she is so sturdy and joyful, we would suggest a home with kids 10 and older. Gracie is strong but does very well on a leash. She is housebroken and very smart. She is going to make a wonderful pet for the right family. Gracie is currently going through heartworm treatment, and Starfish would love to adopt her into a family who would complete that treatment with her. Starfish will cover all medical expenses for this. It is a very straightforward treatment and recovery is 100%.  The adoption fee of $250 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please visit our website at or you may complete the online adoption application on our Facebook Page Once you complete and submit your dog adoption application we will set up an appointment to meet this pup! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
