Description:
Juniper is an 11-month-old Blue Tick Coonhound found as a stray and never reclaimed. Juniper is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and crate trained.  Juniper is loving, sweet, intelligent and stubborn.  If you research the hound breeds or know hounds you know that these are typical hound traits.  She is also a very energetic, very strong, counter surfer, who loves to "sing the song of her people” loudly and frequently, which are also, typical hound traits.  She is still basically a puppy, so she does still chew and will need chew toys for a while yet.  She has most likely never been on a leash before coming to us.  Her leash skills need a lot of work, and we strongly suggest that Junipers adopters enroll her in basic obedience class as soon as possible so that she can be an awesome walking companion.  Juniper gets along with the dogs in her foster home, but may test the limits of dogs who do not appreciate her energy.  In a previous foster home, Juniper chased cats.  However, while curious about the cat in her current foster home, she never tried to rush into the cat room.  Juniper is learning not to jump on people, so a home with older children is recommended.  Juniper needs a confident, routine-setting person who will help her achieve her potential of being a great family pet and companion.  If you would like to meet Juniper, please fill out an application at our web site so we can set up a meet and greet.  https://soazbeaglerescue.com/  Her adoption fee is $275 This dog's adoption fee is a minimum $275.00 donation to help us save more dogs. Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue, SoAZBR is an all-volunteer group. One hundred percent of your donation is used for the care and treatment needy beagles. Your donation is 100% tax deductible, too. We URGENTLY need fosters so we can help save more dogs.  If you can help, please contact us. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
