Have you been waiting for a big squishy boxer mix pup to complete your family!?!

This litter of twelve pups is nine males (Cash, Copper, Jake, Rocky, Harley, Ace, Max, Tucker, Lefty) and three females (Remi, Luna, Zara). These pups were abandoned at an Animal Control facility in Arkansas due to likely being an unplanned litter, and were put into our Southern rescue partner's foster care shortly after. Although we don't know about their parentage or first couple months of life, we do know that they are ready to find their own forever families! They are currently residing in a kennel at a foster home with a retired adult couple. They have not met any other dogs or cats while in foster care, but given they are young with proper confidence building and socialization these pups should be fine in a home with or without a confident doggy sibling. When it comes to meeting new people or children, they are friendly and respectful when interacting with them.

These outgoing and affectionate pups love to play; whether it be with a squeaky or chew toy, but they are also happy to be a lap dog and snuggle up on the couch

. Their preferred play styles are rough wrestling, bitey-mouth, and chase

; and you are likely to hear them bark while playing. They've also got a great foundation to be awesome adventure buddies - they are interested and calm when going new places and in the car!

Being just puppies the DirtyDozen litter has so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his/her human family. Since this litter appears to be eager to please, we think they will pick up these skills quickly with consistency and lots of treats!

Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741.

Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about these conditions, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
