How can you resist these cute Sherwood pups!?!

This litter of nine pups is five males (Little John, Toby, Robin, Tuck, Richard) and four females (Marion, Sis, Bunny, Skippy). These pups are from an unplanned litter between neighboring dogs in Arkansas and are ready to find their own forever families!

These pups love to play; whether it be with a squeaky or chew toy, but they are also happy to be a lap dog and snuggle up on the couch as they appear to be pretty affectionate. Their preferred play styles are chase, bitey-mouth, and wrestling; although they are mostly quiet you may hear them bark while playing. Given their eagerness to please and intelligence, they have a great foundation to be a blast for training and develop into great family dogs! They've also got a great foundation to be awesome adventure buddies - they are interested and calm when going new places and in the car!

Skippy is a smart girl and is learning 'big dog' skills quickly. She is doing great with house training, but still needs a little more practice. She recently completed crate trained where she sleeps quietly all night. She also needs some work on her leash skills but so far, so good!
Skippy loves other dogs and is best friends with her foster's family dog.
We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his/her human family. It’s lots of fun, too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take him/her.

Medical Note
: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange:

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
