Sandy is 2 years old, about 40 lbs. She was found after likely being hit by a car and had a fractured pelvis. She has recovered here and was spayed. Brown and white.
She is a nice girl, but she is fearful in certain instances. She especially doesn't like her neck area touched, which means that she is afraid of leashes and collars. She is friendly to our volunteers, though, and lets them carry her to the exercise yard. She's ok with pets and belly scratches. She is wary of strangers (both human and canine), but not aggressive. She will ened a home that is patient and that will help her with her fears.

Are you my furrever family?
For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and go up to $750. The higher end is for our most in demand dogs, such as young beagles and other purebred dogs. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. For puppies, we may go beyond this and charge $1000. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!
Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Your tax-deductible donation keeps our rescue kennel operating!
