DSH | 1-1/2 years old | 7 pounds | Adoption Fee: $125  Jewels knows how to strike a pose. Look as she stretches her lovely body and peers over her shoulder. What a diva she is. This lovely gal is only 1-year old, but boy can she work a room. Whenever you see her, she'll always be shining bright. She'll illuminate a room and become the jewel of your eye - better than The Hope Diamond is this Jewel. She’ll have you eating out of her paw. Come meet this little gem! One thing to know about Jewels - she knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting other know.  If she wants attention, she’s determined to get it. She will continually paw at your leg, rub up against you, attempt to jump in your lap.  You simply can’t tell her no.  Is another cat, or person, in her space when she wants alone time?  Well then, it’s a kitty swat for you, Jewels said back off, do you not understand the concept of personal space?? She loves attention and affection on her terms. One second, you'll have her eating out of your hand, and the next she'll bat you away and give you that look of "just who do you think you are." Once you've got your groove down, she's quite the entertaining little girl and will love you to the moon and back. You'll just need to give her time and trust during that "getting to know you phase."  Jewels really is a love with an intriguing personality. Given her sometimes sassiness, her perfect family would be an experienced cat person who appreciates how a girl can be picky at times and understands that.  Jewels likely wouldn't appreciate the boisterousness of young toddlers or the rambunctious shenanigans of her canine counterparts. She sees herself as above all of that nonsense. She'd prefer a more quiet and loving home. One where she can bird watch out of the window in solace. Take a cat nap in the sun streaming through the window, and curl up on the lap of the one she loves Completion of an Adoption Application via our website ( is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
