Description:
Social, Loving, Sweet Little Peanut is a little baby! She thrives on cuddling with you and is determined to get her snuggle time (see next paragraph). She will climb into your lap or onto your shoulder, settle in, purrrrrrrr, and might suckle her own paw while doing so! And if you are doing something else - washing dishes at the sink, for example - and LP wants some loving, get ready: she will get a running start and LEAP onto your shoulder! We're not kidding! She has perfect timing and balance and usually sticks the landing, all while using the minimal amount of claws to hold on (though you might want to keep her nails trimmed, just in case). We give her a solid 10 for her gymnast skills, and an 11 for being overall AMAZING. LP has another superpower: place a heated pad or other heat source under a blanket and she will immediately find it and lay on top of it - like a truffle pig finds truffles! This girl loves a good warm spot. LP is great with the other kittens in her foster home, too, playing with them as often as she can! She likes to play "big sister" to the smallest kittens. LP has some chronic respiratory issues, which means that she will likely need a routine of meds and nebulizing to keep her airways clear. She will probably be a lifelong sniffler! Despite that, LP is a very happy and typical kitty! She's mischievous at times, of course (see above), and is extra snuggly when she doesn't feel good and wants your comfort. LP is looking for a home with someone who will play with her, cuddle with her, and keep her on routine respiratory care. She is a darling little peanut! Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet. Little Peanut has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Little Peanut can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
