Betsy came to us with her bonded mate Punk when their previous owner was put into a position to where releasing them into our care would be the best decision for the pets themselves and the owner. Between Betsy and Punk, Betsy definitely wears the pants in this relationship. Wherever Betsy goes, Punk is close behind. You could say these two love each other to the moon and back, and have no intentions of getting out of the honeymoon phase. Betsy is a very energetic girl and would prefer a home to where her and Punk could run and play together endlessly. She is also very sweet and needs someone who can help her with her jumping tendencies/obsession. With all the excitement she has with Punk being around, she doesn't know how to properly express it. We believe with the right home Betsy will be able to learn a few proper manners and become a more calm girl.Unless otherwise stated, the adoption fees for dogs over 5 months range from $50-$175. Puppies under 5 months are $175.00. Dog adoption fees include a microchip.The adoption fee includes the animal's surgery, vaccinations, flea preventative, deworming medication, sample bag of food/treat samples and a free first exam with participating veterinarians. Shelter policy and 2018 Indiana state law decrees all animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter.Our shelter is open to the public on Monday- Saturday from 8:00 am -5:00 pm EST with the exception of Wednesdays on which we typically open by 1:00 pm.
