Description:
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 10/10/2020 Reason for being in rescue: stray Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? none Weight: 15.5 lbs and growing. We expect Stacy will be between 25-30 pounds when she is full grown. Height: 9 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes, Stacy Dirk was spayed on 10/20/2020. She is ready for her forever home. Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Stacy Dirk is a happy, very active puppy. She would be best in a home with another active dog and someone home during the day for physical and mental exercise. Stacy is learning the ropes of being a pet, but needs continued training on basic manners, house training, and walking on a leash. She would be wonderful for mature children (no children under 10 as she is very much a puppy and still chews... puppy teeth are sharp). She needs a fenced yard where she can run out her energy and play ball with her family every day. Stacy Dirk would love to be your hiking buddy! What is my personality like? Stacy Dirk was abandoned behind a convenience store. Thankfully, the manager on duty is a dog lover and scooped this baby girl up. We cannot imagine how or why someone could abandon a young girl as full of personality and life as Stacy Dirk. But her past will not define her future. Stacy Dirk is your classic happy, very active puppy. She loves everyone she wants to meet and is always up for an adventure. She's living in a foster home with other dogs that are small and large and does well with them. We don't recommend a home with cats as Stacy is just too curious and energetic for your average cat. Stacy Dirk is learning all sorts of things in her foster home. First up was crate training. She's done very well with that and sleeps in her crate quietly at night. She is learning to walk on a leash, though she sometimes think it's a chew toy while she's walking. She knows basic command (sit and down) and is working on the leave it command. She absolutely loves toys, loves people, and is wide open energy all the time.  How do I act when I first meet new people? Very friendly Other tips and tidbits: Stacy Dirk's estimated birthday is 6/10/2020 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
