My name is Heart. I'm looking for a very special home and family to call my own. You will need to be patient and love me unconditionally for who I am and who I will hopefully one day become. I was very likely born a stray and because of this I was never socialized and didn't learn that people can be loving and could be trusted. When I was found I was half frozen and under me was my litter of two day old pups and I was so incredibly thin. I was brought into rescue and my foster family gave me space to watch and slowly learn that they were not going to hurt me even though I constantly wanted to run and hide. Instead they gave me food. I gained weight. I decided they were trustworthy enough to take treats from their fingers. My pups were happy and loved and found homes. Now it's my turn. I will accept touch from my foster family but it's still scary. I do wonderfully on a schedule and go outside in a secured fenced area to go potty. Inside my kennel is my safe space. Sometimes I hang out with my doggie friends on doggie beds but if people are in the same space I can get scared of fast movements and I'll run away. My new home must have a doggie or even doggie siblings for me and I would love it if they wanted to play with me. When I'm outside wrestling with my doggie friends, that's when you'll see the truely happy and carefree me. I smile and my tail will wag with joy. With time and patience I hope that one day I too can take that next step to give my heart to the right person and be carefree. Maybe that time will be short. Maybe it will be long. Only time will tell. Do you have room in your heart and home to heal me? Adoption Fee: $395 INTERESTED IN MEETING ME?
