Description:
Sweet gal looking for loveWINGARD NEEDS A FOREVER HOME WITH A WELCOMING RESIDENT DOG AND NO KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 12!!!

Name: Wingard      Best Guess for Breed: Labrador mix
Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of 6/14/21      SEX:  Female

Approximate Weight: 35 lbs (she's still growing)

Gets Along With:  Wingard does well with other dogs. We have not seen her with cats but she can be tested. Due to her shyness, she should not go to a home with children under the age of 12.

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.
Special adoption considerations:  Wingard is a shy pup, so she must go to a home with a resident dog to help her build her braves and no kids under the age of 12.
Wingard is Looking For: Adventure! Or cuddles. Both of those, actually. She's in her prime as a young adult dog and is ready to go on all those long sniffy walks, romps in the park, daily running and playing excursions, and trips out of the neighborhood with you! This sweet girl is also seeking a place to lay her head and look adoringly at her humans in exchange for scratches. She thinks she could learn some cool tricks too, especially if she gets treats!
What she wants most is to know she is safe and loved. Since she's a bit shy at the moment, she needs an adopter who will take the time to build trust with her and introduce her to other people and doggies so that she feels confident in various environments.
What My Foster Says About Me: Wingard has a sweet and gentle soul. She will look at you it with those beautiful brown eyes with so much love and trust. She will stay by your side and be your shadow. She is such a loving dog and the perfect cuddle buddy. When she gets comfortable and plays with her toys she is so silly. She’ll run all around the house with them in her mouth and would even walk out the door with them if you let her. She is great in a crate and will sleep through the night. We are working on our leash manners, she is getting better each day. She is food motivated which is great for training. This pup is the sweetest thing and loves every dog she meets. She is very playful with them and loves to romp around. Loud noise startle her, when she here’s them she’ll stay right by your side. She is a wonderful dog and will make an amazing addition to any home she goes to.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
