ADOPTION APPLICATION ADOPTION PROCESS       SAMANTHALike her namesake Samantha from the TV show Sex and the City, our Shih Tzu Sammy is middle-aged with golden locks & a bit of a strong personality. She can be temperamental with new people until she gets to know them. Once Samantha is comfortable, she’s happy & wiggly. She does have days where she wants to be left alone (so do we ) so her family must respect that. Samantha came to us with some terrible skin issues, which could have contributed to her attitude, but she’s had quite the glow-up since then. Samantha needs an experienced dog owner & no children in the home. “Hers a good girl” but we have to be transparent when it comes to her level of sass. Are you her Carrie Bradshaw? Apply here: and if you are the perfect match for Sammy, we’ve have a generous donor sponsoring her adoption fee. We love our supporters! Samantha is an older female shih tzu who came to us with severe skin issues. After months of TLC we have almost completely healed her skin and her hair is looking beautiful. As an older pet, Samantha prefers to be left alone for the most part. She likes to lay on her spot on the couch or next to her person. She loves to have her head and back petted however she does not like for her tail or feet to be touched. She would not do well with children and prefers a calm adult family.   Samantha can be a bit temperamental if she is handled too much. Typically when she is frustrated with being handled she can be snippy however we have found that if she is handled moderately she does well.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
