Welcome Lucy to CCPAL Rescue.  She is a Collie/Beagle/Shepherd is our best guess.  She has the markings of Shepherd but she has the size of a Collie.  She is smart and she likes attention.  She is good on a leash, potty trained and lives with cats.  She wants the attention of her family and is jealous of another dog getting attention, so we are looking for a home where she can be the only dog.   She has lived with kids and does great with all people.  She is 3 years old and she would make a good walking or hiking companion. Her best home would be with a family that likes to walk, hike and with a fenced yard.   She doesn’t like car rides and gets a little car sick on rides.  She is good with all people and could be in a home with kiddos.  We prefer them to be 8 or older.  She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally.  We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.  She is spayed, healthty and up on her vaccinations.  She is ready for her forever home.  Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states   Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to if you have questions. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
