Description:
·       Lucy, a white female terrier type mix, is about 3 years old and weighed 60 pounds when she arrived June 24 as a stray.      Volunteers find beautiful Lucy, who most likely had been part of a breeding pair, to be a quiet dog who is easy to handle. “I walked Lucy the day she arrived as a stray with Snoopy,” said an experienced volunteer. “Both were somewhat shy but friendly. It was very easy to get her collar on and take her outside. Hard to get a photo because she always wanted to be close. I walked her again after her spay and she was a little depressed. Since then, she’s very happy to see me and is easy to put a collar/leash on and take outside. Lucy is also very easy to walk. So far she has not been interested in playing with toys. She likes getting petted and seeing her pal Snoopy.”  . She was quiet and friendly with all the dogs she met with all of them (see video). She is a very good-looking dog with beautiful green eyes. She cried at the fence when Snoopy, the dog she came in with, was taken back inside.”   Lucy was observed by shelter staff on July 1. She was clean in her kennel, excited when approached, easy to obtain and difficult to walk because she pulled hard. She reacted favorably (tail wagging, calm demeanor, interested) when she was walked past other dogs in the kennel, when other dogs walked past her kennel and when face to face with another leashed dog. She showed no reaction when her mouth and feet were examined. . She is quickly learning to relax and enjoying her time outside with the volunteers. Her breeding days are over. She is clean, spayed and seeking a new home. ask for her video                                                                                  o
