Description:
I am looking for a very special owner. I am a very misunderstood pitty. I am 2 years old and 45 lbs.  My sister Di and I spent most of our lives in a shelter before being rescued. I did not meet many people, and I have a fear of people.  As a result, I have “stranger danger" syndrome. When I first meet a stranger, I bark and growl. In less than a couple days, I will become your best friend, full of kisses and love. I just need to know you are a good person, and treats are the way to my heart. I am not for the faint of heart. The people who met me were afraid of me at first, they did not understand I was more afraid of them, than they were of me. I need a miracle special adopter who is familiar with behavior issues, and the pit bull temperament.  I went to see a trainer and I was there for a while. My trainer loved me, and we bonded. Then I had to come back to the rescue with my sister. My sister is not adoptable yet, she is very reactive to strangers. The trainer felt that we should be separated and I would have a better chance at being adopted. I am a couch potato, kisser and lover once you get to know me. I need to go to a home with no children, and no dogs. I need a quiet home. If you have many friends, coming over I probably will not like them at first...   I will need to be put in a kennel until they leave. I will not be able to take walks or go many places. I need an adopter who is a homebody like me. I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The rescue and my trainer want to help with my transition so I need a home within an hour or so of Grovertown, Indiana or near Sheridan, Indiana where my trainer is located. Watch my video and you will see my true personality when I trust and love a person.  Qualifications to adopt: someone that is home more during the day, experienced dog owner that is patient and willing to work through problems. A secure fenced in back yard 4’ tall minimum, no children  No other dogs or animals. Prince has never shown aggression with other animals, and he just wants his own human.  Please put in an application on our website www.indianasaveadogrescue.com

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
