My name is BABY IKE and I'm a handsome 9 mo M Cattle Dog/Hound X. I'm 40 lbs of PURE HAPPY PUPPY. I was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas and I'm being rehomed because I'm not fond of city living and I need a more active lifestyle. I'm a sweet, friendly, loving, happy go lucky, fun lovin guy. I'm your typical puppy in that I'm very energetic & jumpy and need daily structured exercise and discipline but I'm super smart and am eager to please and quick to learn. I'm good with dogs, have lived with a cat (and chased it but just for play) and am a bit too jumpy for young kids but ok with older kids ages 8 yrs+. I enjoy being outdoors running, fetching, jumping at a flirt pole and just simply going for long walks. I do pull a bit on the leash so need further leash training. Once I get my daily dose of exercise, I'm chill at home. My biggest issue is "separation anxiety". I can be crated when someone is home but if you leave I will try to get out of the crate and cause a fuss and this is why apt living is a challenge for me. Separation anxiety goes away with time but it takes patience and tolerance. It may be best for me to be with another dog that I can play with and feel safe with. My current owner has taught me lots of commands and says I'm really good at puzzle games and love to use my nose to find hidden treats. I know I can be an AMAZING DOG with the right amount of daily exercise and interactivity. I need someone/couple/family with a fenced in yard that is ACTIVE and will indulge me in lots of daily exercise, discpline and mental activity.
