Meet Stitches! His age estimate is around 3 ½ years old. He’s a tiny Chihuahua mix at just 8 lbs. and loves to snuggle on the couch and at bedtime. He loves receiving affection, especially on his tiny, little head. He is doing great with his potty training too. He’s a pretty independent and confident little guy. He’s quite content just laying out on the couch with another dog and/or his human. He loves car rides, going for walks and enjoys a safe dog park, as well, where he can freely roam and explore the grounds. He gets along just fine with other dogs and cats.  Stitches is best suited for a home without kids. Due to his small size and quirky Chihuahua tendencies to not like being rushed with affection, he would do best in a home with no children. He will require a patient adopter who understands that he prefers gentle affection in comfortable settings.  Stitches would make a wonderful addition to a family with dogs or be great as a solo dog. Stitches is up to date on his vaccines, including Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper and Parvovirus. Stitches tested negative for Heartworm. Stitches was recently neutered. If you would like to meet Stitches,  please fill out an adoption application at . We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
