Meet Captain!! Captain came to us from a rural shelter where he was on the euthanasia list. He came from a hoarding case and was seized. The shelter was over flowing & asked for help. Captain is about 2 years old & was really shy when he came to us. It only took a few days for him to realize his Foster home is pretty cool & to come out of his shell!!
Captain is some kind of dachshund/ lab / mutt mix. He weighs about 30 lbs & is full grown. He loves other dogs, LOVES to go for walks & is thrilled with treats & any positive attention!!! Captain rarely barks & is good in his crate!!! He loves to play in the yard & we are so thrilled to see him bouncing around, happily wagging his tail!!! He’s such a sweet little guy!!! Apply to adopt him today!!! Captain’s adoption fee is $200. He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
