Loving, Snuggly, Curious Meet Boaty McBoatface! This fun guy loves to sing! His hearing is mostly gone, so his meow is extra loud. He'll meow if he wakes up and he doesn't see you, he'll meow just to entertain himself too. You'll sometimes find him meowing at the wall. We like to think he's searching for the spot in the house with the best acoustics. Boaty McBoatface will briefly chase a ribbon or crinkle ball, but he prefers to spend his time cuddling with you. He loves it when you lay on the ground with him so that he can nestle his head in your neck or armpit. During snuggle time, he'll purr like an engine and make biscuits on you to show his love for you. Plus, he's wonderfully thick and squishy, perfect for cuddling! Boaty McBoatface is looking for a loving guardian who can spend the evenings snuggling with him. He can probably handle a loud household as long as people don't sneak up on him. He will jump a little if you startle him, but he hasn't shown any signs of aggression. We also think he'd be able to handle living with other cats. Boaty McBoatface is currently taking a few medications to treat some skin bumps and scrapes from scratching. If you'd like to meet this sweet guy, contact us soon! Boaty McBoatface has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Boaty McBoatface can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
