Check out this handsome dude!  Asher is a big guy, not overweight, but just a large sized cat.  He was found as a stray hanging around a Cat Shack volunteers' house each day waiting for food.  He was friendly from almost day one, so our volunteer decided he needed to be an inside guy.  He is now neutered, up to date on shots, and all ready to find his forever home.Asher has quite the personality, and may not be a good choice for a first time cat owner.  He likes to be the boss, and do what he wants when he's ready.  He's VERY food motivated, though, and will do almost anything to get to some wet food, including put himself in his cage in the adoption center  when it's food time. Asher eats in a cage so he doesn't gobble down his food and then steal all the other cats' food, so we'd suggest a similar set-up if you have more than one cat.  Otherwise, he's a pretty content, happy guy.  He likes to lounge, snooze, play, and basically just hang out with his people and other cats, and would likely do fine with a cat saavy dog, or a child old enough to give him space when he needs it.Asher is living at our adoption room at the Dog Town in Hatfield, PA, and would love for you to come visit him and see if he'd be a good fit for your house.  You couldn't find a bigger, more handsome, loveable guy with more personality than Asher.  Come meet him today!Adopting from The Cat Shack
The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
