Description:
Buddy is a Great Dane mix, possibly some Shepherd or Lab in the breed mix.  He is 5 1/2 years old (DOB:  Sept 2015).  Buddy was an owner surrender.  Buddy is good with other dogs; however usually prefers being around female dogs.  As far as people are concerned, he seems to prefer women, once he warms up to them.  Buddy is a big, shy boy who probably needs a calm environment, with no small children, and no stressful situations or surroundings.  His expression looks a little sad, but once comfortable with you, likes to cuddle up.  The people who surrendered Buddy mentioned bad habits of digging and chewing, and pulling things off the table: He is a large dog who needs space. If interested in giving Buddy his 'forever' home, our shelter is located at 11901 S. Coulter.  Presently by appointment only. You can reach Amarillo SPCA at 806-622-0555. A visit and a completed pre-screen will be necessary if wanting to adopt Buddy, or any of our other dogs or cats.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
