Description:
Bentley is by far one of the most loyal and loving companions to have around. Want to have fun, be lazy, be active? Bentley is all of that. This sweet dog will never disappoint, he’s just so full of happiness! Bentley loves walks and car rides and being around other dogs and people! He truly is one of a kind!

Bentley would love a fellow dog to play with, a person who lets him sleep in the bed (or at least close) and a family who loves to walk, hike, and run.  He is breathtakingly athletic and appears much younger than his listed age.  His tail is powerful when he wags it, and he alerts you to everything the neighbors are up to with a deep bark. Bentley would love to have a companion, but we do recommend supervision during playtime with other dogs, especially males. He is not dominant but he’s no pushover either. If he is adopted in an only dog home, we recommend he does have regular playtime with other dogs that are familiar friends. We also recommend giving Bentley “work” to do, as he breed is known to be a “working dog.  He needs daily activity.

Age: 9 y/o

Breed: Hound Mix

Weight: 81 lbs

Kid-friendly:
Children who are considerate to dogs. He's a friendly boy but also is a bit more reserved over high-energy kiddos.

Dogs:
He prefers larger dogs. He can be a bit more reserved so we do recommend slow introductions, however, he does enjoy the company of another K9 friend.

Cats:  Not recommended due to high prey drive in hounds

Crate trained:
He is but doesn't need it.

Potty trained: Yep!

Likes:
Bentley loves long walks with his people - he is so active. He loves to lounge and be around his people. Bentley is very talented at counter surfing so beware of pizza on the counter!

Adoption fee: $275

Our dogs receive heartworm and flea/tick prevention the first week of each month, March through November. Dogs that have stage 3 or 4 dental disease will receive a dental procedure in rescue. We aspirate all lumps and remove those that our veterinary partners suggest removing.

Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable).

$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordetella), HW test, blood panel, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

You can apply to adopt at www.greyfacerescue.org/adoption-application
