I AM A SPECIAL BOY IN NEED OF A SPECIAL HOME. I AM FEARFUL BECAUSE BEFORE I WAS RESCUED, I WAS KEPT IN A CRATE OUTSIDE WITHOUT ANY HUMAN INTERACTION. CAN YOU BLAME ME?

ALTHOUGH I PLAY GREAT WITH SOME DOGS, AND WOULD MAYBE GAIN CONFIDENCE FROM THEM I MIGHT NEED TO BE AN ONLY DOG BECAUSE I DO NOT LIKE SHARING MY FOOD.

* Special information regarding adopting Puppies *



Our adoption fees are: 



*  Altered puppies dogs $ 155 



*  Altered kittens

 & cats $ 95



* Puppies under 4 months who have not  been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption - $115 plus S/N 

Deposit: $ 100 if not altered prior to adoption 



* Kittens 
 
under 4 months who have not  been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption -
 
 $70 plus S/N Deposit: $ 100 if not altered prior to adoption 



Our policy is that all adopted 

animals

 must be spayed or neutered 

before leaving the premises. If at 

any

 

time

 an 

animal

 under the age of 

4 months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and 

agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter 

agrees to have the 

animal

 being adopted spayed/neutered by a 

veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this 

contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This 

deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter 

contract. If you have

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $155
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $115 plus S/N Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus S/N Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions  
here
), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at
