BRUNO NEEDS A LOVING FOREVER HOME!!! This is a courtesy post. Bruno is not available through Dogs XL. Please contact Tru Rescue for more information.   Name: Bruno Breed: Mastiff mix (likely Mastiff/Rottweiler mix) Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 100 lbs Current Location: Local foster home Meet Bruno! This handsome hunk has come a long way from his early rescue days, when he was emaciated, alone at a high kill shelter in Texas. He was mere hours away from being euthanized when Tru Rescue stepped in to rescue this big ol' lug and find him a forever family to love!   Bruno is 2 years old and about 100 lbs. He has great house manners and knows a whole host of commands, including "sit," "stay," "leave it," "heel," and even "shake," among others. Bruno walks nicely on a leash with a prong collar most of the time, but would do best with a family who will continue his obedience training and help him polish up his leash manners. Bruno is house broken and crate trained, but is not destructive around the house and is trusted to free roam for most of the day, though he sleeps in his crate at night and hangs out in there while his foster humans are out of the house. Bruno is a power chewer and loves to chomp down on sturdy chews and so-called indestructible toys... his dream job is tough toy tester!  Bruno is true to his breed(s), and is the loyal, loving family member you could ever hope for! However, Bruno also feels that his #1 duty is to protect his people. He is not a fan of strangers visiting his house or invading his yard, and he's especially not a fan of unknown men. Bruno has a bite history because he lunged at an unfamiliar man wearing a hat and sunglasses. While the bite was not severe and did not require significant medical attention, Bruno is a big, powerful dog, so he is looking for a strong, guardian breed-experienced leader to provide structure, boundaries and positive reinforcement training and who will responsibly manage his guarding behaviors. Bruno's ideal family would have a fenced-in yard. Despite his young age, Bruno is low energy and mostly prefers to hang out on the couch or stand guard, and only needs one or two short walks a day (plus potty breaks in the yard).    Bruno is good with other dogs, but needs a home without cats or kids.  To ensure Bruno's new family is set up for success, Tru Rescue is requiring that his adopters complete a training course with Stateline Canine and Bruno's current foster to learn his commands and understand how best to manage his personality and character traits and how to continue his training to ensure he's the best buddy he can be! Bruno is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His  adoption fee is $350. To learn more about Bruno or apply to adopt him, please visit Tru Rescue's website: Bruno needs a loving forever home to lavish attention (and treats) on him. Please open your heart and home to Bruno!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
