This blue boy is a handsome 70 pound, 3.5 year-old pitbull (neutered). He is up-to-date on vetting, is on heart worm preventatives, is housebroken and crate trained. Eli was rescued from a local shelter at 11 months old and has been extremely well taken care of since then. He is a very affectionate companion with a heart of gold just waiting on the right person to bring him home.  This sweet boy is looking for a home with no other pets. Eli has been involved in two scuffles with others dogs and has no exposure to cats. On the plus side, Eli is very people-friendly and prefers hanging close to his humans. His favorite activities include cuddling on the sofa, sunbathing and playing ball outside. Eli has some limited experience around young children and has behaved well but can sometimes jump when he gets excited. Eli’s owners are working on behavioral training to make sure he is on his best behavior when he gets to his new home. He is very treat-motivated which makes training easier!  On very rare occasions, Eli experiences small seizures which present as head tremors. His condition is currently managed exceptionally well with medication. His owners are not sure whether this developed as a result of using Nexgard or a horse kick that he sustained about a year and a half ago. Fortunately, Eli is hardly phased by these seizures and he thinks it’s pretty awesome getting his meds with a scoop of peanut butter twice a day!  Eli would love to find his forever family sooner than later. He is sure to win you over with his lovable personality and thank you daily with unwavering loyalty plus kisses & snuggles! CVRR is listing this dog as a *COURTESY* to the actual owner. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
