Meet Ducky! Ducky entered Downey Shelter as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed, we made him a Frosted Face. Ducky is 8 years old and weighs 68 lbs. He is sweet and silly! He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and kisses people AND dogs alike! He does well in a play group of other dogs in our play yard, and he has gone on outings with his Frosted gal pals Jacie and Celia Mae! At the beach, Ducky showed off his swimming skills. (Video included with photos!) Ducky enjoys going on our weekly Frosted Fakers hikes and earns high marks from volunteers for having good leash manners, not reacting to other dogs, and having good energy - one of our volunteers even jogged with him! (Video included with photos. Go, Ducky, go!) On a recent Frosted Faker hike, Ducky was paired with a volunteer and three year old son. Afterwards, she shared: "Ducky was an awesome hiking companion for Aleks and I this morning, taking the constant stop and go of a 3 year-old in stride, and doling out kisses to both of us every chance he got. He even hiked as the solo "big" in a pack of little chihuahuas, and didn't mind one bit. Ducky is a sweet, goofy, fun-loving boy SO ready for family! Who will answer the call and take home this wonderful soul?" Good question! Ducky is a very sweet, gentle, and fun boy who loves pets, belly rubs, and treats. He would be a great cuddle buddy to curl up with on the sofa as you watch tv and go on walks with, too!
