Description:
Alvin wants more than just a hula-hoop for Christmas - he wants a home to call his own! He loves to just hang out and chew on his Nylabone on his dog bed with the occasional walk and cuddle time thrown in. Now in foster care, he's improving his leash-walking skills and has been interested in other dogs he sees, but is just playful. He's not paid much attention to cats and hasn't been interested in people he sees. Alvin has polite house manners, including waiting to be invited on furniture and not begging for food or getting into the trash! He can be a bit of a picky eater, but is food motivated when it comes to training. He enjoys eating out of a slow feeder and Kong wobbler. He loves to play tug-o-war, too. His favorite toys are tug ropes and Nylabones. He would love to continue his training with you! He still has some puppy behaviors and can be playful with some gentle mouthing, but he also gives sweet kisses. This adorable boy is house-trained. He's happy to sleep on his bed or in the crate with the door open. He easily goes in his crate for treats and has freely roamed the house or stayed in his crate for a whole work day, doing well when his fosters are away. Because of a previous hind leg injury, he has a limp and may have spinal nerve injury, so he likes to be picked up for snuggles on the bed or couch. He's not pushy for attention, but does enjoy cuddling while watching TV. Alvin is the sweetest boy and would make a great companion and excellent movie buddy! Come meet Alvin today!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
