Description:
Waco is a Quarter Horse who was transferred to Longmeadow from another rescue. He was an unhandled stallion when he arrived at Longmeadow, but has since been gelded and is ready to find his forever home. He is currently working on building his confidence around people and in new environments. Waco is smart, athletic, and will require an experienced handler to continue his training.Update August 2017: Waco has been taught to ground drive and he continues his desensitization training. He is still concerned about new objects and experiences. We are working on building his confidence.Update November 2017: Waco has turned the corner away from his fearful old self. He has come very far with his ground work and under saddle training. At this time he needs an advanced rider or professional trainer. He responds quickly to pressure so a rider will need to know how to balance.Height: 14.1 hhMax carrying weight (includes rider & tack) - 200lbsAdoption fee: $400Adoptable animals can be seen by appointment only!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
