Description:
Meet Santiago! This handsome guy was surrendered to Longmeadow in January 2021. When he arrived, Santiago was an intact stud that required a separate turn out from all other horses. He has since been castrated and was recently introduced into our herds. We have found that despite the castration, Santiago still believes he is a smooth talker with the ladies. With other geldings, we have found that Santiago does still feel the need to dominate the herd. At this time, we believe Santiago would do best with a home with private turn out or with strictly mares. Santiago also requires an experienced handler as he learns to ignore the ladies and listen to his human. We have evaluated Santiago under saddle. He stands tied, like a true gentleman, and accepts both the saddle and rider. It appears he has had some training, but we still consider him very green. Santiago will require at least a 60 - 90 day refresher by a professional trainer at this time. Adoption Fee: $300.00

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
