PERRI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Perri and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (July 18th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Gaithersburg (218 Kentlands Blvd, Gaithersburg MD 20878)!   Name: Perri      Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd mix    Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of April 2021      SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 50 lbs   Gets Along With:  Perri has done well with other dogs at the shelter and must go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen him with cats but he can be tested/ Due to his shyness, he cannot go to a home with children under the age of 12.    Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Special adoption considerations:  Perri is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will help show him the ropes. Because of his shyness, he would do better in a calm environment without unexpected loud noises or sudden movements; therefore, he cannot go to a home with children under the age of 12.    Perri is Looking For: His forever family! At approximately two years of age, he is out of the puppy yips and in the prime as an adult dog. He's got all that awesome young adult dog energy for long sniffy walks and romps in the park and playing! He's eagerly looking forward to trotting through the world with confidence, exploring the mountains, the beach, and the toy aisle at the local pet shop. To get there, though, he needs a patient adopter who will help socialize him by exposing him to new places and experiences at his pace, and a resident dog who will show him how wonderful a dog's life can be! Obedience school will definitely help build his braves as well. But what he wants most of all is to lay down at night and sigh, knowing he is safe and loved and in his forever home. What do you say? Is Perri the one for you? AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
