Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie, Red Heeler
Lost or found date:
Pet name:
Looks like: Shetland Sheepdog Mix Male, 13 years old, about 20 pounds Fennec is completely blind, and he will occasionally bump into other dogs without meaning to, but he is able to quickly reorient himself and give the other dogs space. Fennec is also hearing impaired, if not entirely deaf. Because of his blindness and deafness, he walks in circles quite often, especially when orienting himself to a new space. Aside from these impairments, he is in excellent health for his age. Fennec has a quiet, gentle energy, and gets along well with other dogs, though he can be startled if another dog enters his space unexpectedly. He can be led by gentle touch and is very appreciative of affection. If you touch his sides to let him know you're going to lift him, he will leap up into the air to make it easier for you! Fennec came to us from San Jose Animal Care and Services.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
