Description:
Joseph might have an idea of just how handsome he really is, but he would love to go home with you and be told every day as a reminder! He was found stray but is social, friendly, and trusting of humans - he just might be a little pushy with his food towards other animals. He did test positive for FeLV, so he would need to be the only cat in your home or live with other cats that also have tested positive.  Joseph is a gentle soul. He is always calm and loves to be scratched under the neck and on his belly. He is also a little scaredy cat so weird noises and water will make him run. He will sit on your lap and let you pet him or you can play with a wand toy together. He is really the perfect family cat and companion! **Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that attacks and weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. In the past, cats with FeLV in shelters were euthanized as soon as they were diagnosed. PAWS takes a different stance: we enable FeLV+ cats to live out their lives in loving homes. For more information feel free to check out the FeLV FAQs we have available on our website!**  Age: 4-6 years old How I came to PAWS: Found Stray  Animal ID#: A49306 Location: I am in a foster home! FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
