FIV+I am currently in foster care. (born 1/1/18) All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you are interest ed in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at http://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. For more information about FIV – feline immunodeficiency virus visit this website: https://bestfriends.org/resources/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus We currently have sponsorship funds for FIV+ cat adoptions. With an approved application you could adopt me without an adoption fee as the sponsor has already paid it for you. Speak to a Colony Cats representative about this.
