DOB:  11/13/12 **** SPECIAL NEEDS*****SEIZURE DISORDER****   When we saw Devon at a city shelter we couldn't help getting him out. He has beautiful gold eyes and who can resist a tripod kitty?! We can't imagine how he survived on the streets fending for himself with only three legs, but somehow this resilient kitty did. When Devon arrived at our sanctuary, he was friendly and easy going, but one day he had a mood swing and became very aggressive. At that time we also noticed that there were some physical tics and realized he was having a seizure. We took him to a vet and started him on anti-seizure medication, and we were happy to see him stabilize and become again the happy, easy going kitty that he was when he first arrived. He gets medication three times a day.    Devon likes to nap on the beds around the sanctuary with his belly in the air and his legs akimbo. He enjoys getting pets and rubbing affectionately rubbing his head on people's legs. He will sometimes swat at people as the walk past him to get their attention for pets.    Devon is tolerant of the other cats that he lives with, but would also be happy as a solo kitty.  If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting him, please click here to email his foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
