In shelter Dog

Oxford, MI, 48371
Pet name:
American Bulldog
The wrinkles are everything! Duchess is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 66 pounds.

Duchess is an affectionate and very connecting girl who takes a little bit to warm up to new people. She is just a little shy, but once she is comfortable, she loves to give gentle kisses. Duchess also has a wonderful sit and takes her treats so nicely. She loves her walks too and is great on a leash, she likes to look back at you and “check in” making sure all is well. Duchess gets very excited with squeaky soft toys and gets the zoomies, which is so funny. She is going to make someone such a wonderful best friend.

Duchess is underconfident though and needs a family with the time and patience to work on this with her. She would do best with an experienced adopter, who has bully breed knowledge and understands their need for leadership. Duchess is very responsive to her handler, she is just looking for guidance and a solid leader would really help with building her confidence. A home where any children are at least 13 years old and no cats would be best for her.

If you are interested in Duchess and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at and we will be in touch.

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
