****PETronus Rescue endeavors to include all pertinent information for each of the dogs within our organization with regard to approximate age, potty training status, kennel training status, temperament, activity level, dog/cat friendliness, etc in an effort to give those considering adopting as much information as we have. It is likely that we do not have the answer to any other questions, but will do our best ****

Meet Piggy.

Piggy is a female staffy mix dog who is estimated to be about 8 years old. She is dog selective, would do well with a submissive and calm dog her size or similar, but cats and smaller dogs are a definite no. She does fine with her fosters 13 year old daughter, and has been around kids as young as 8 with no problems. She likes fetch, needs work on her leash manners (a lot of work!), and honestly has a surprising amount of energy for an older lady. For the most part Piggy just wants a couch to lay on with you and head pets.

Piggy was heartworm positive when we pulled her from the shelter, but has since received the 3 injection treatment. It will be 6 months to a year until she tests negative.

All PETronus Rescue dogs receive basic vaccinations (distemper/parvo, bordetella, & rabies), spay/ neuter, and microchip prior to adoption. We also treat any know medical issues, including heartworms.

Our dogs live in foster homes while they wait patiently for their forever families to find them. This is beneficial in that they learn house manners, crate training, housebreaking, etc while they wait and we are also able to get a very realistic picture of their energy level, temperament, etc so that we can place them in a home that is the best fit.

Our adoption fees are $200 for dogs over 1 year of age and $250 for dogs under 1 year of age. Puppies receive 3 rounds of puppy vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting one of our amazing dogs, please fill out our adoption application here and we will be in touch!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
