Meet Freya! ~~ This sweet lady loves to give kisses and snuggle with her person! ~~ She originally came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility ~~ She was adopted and came back to TCHS after 4 months of trying to introduce her to the resident cat ~~ She did not do well with the cat and has climbed over a gate to get to them ~~ Because of this, Freya cannot go to a home with any cats ~~ This social butterfly earned the nickname "Wiggle Butt" in her adoptive home! ~~Freya has done well with dog on dog meet and greets through the fence however she can be dog selective ~~ She tends to get possessive over high-value food and toys when around dogs ~~ Meet and greet will be required with any resident dog before she goes home ~~ Freya lived with multiple children of various ages, and does very well with them but can be very energetic/jumpy near littles ~~ She would do best in a home with older children or no kids because she can be mouthy when she is excited ~~ Slow and proper introductions are recommended when introducing her to other pets and children in the home; ask a staff member for detailed tips ~~ Freya is a very high energy gal who is always up for playtime or walks ~~ She will needs lots of regular physical and mental stimulation to keep her busy ~~ This pretty pup is on the lookout for an active home; she would make a great running or hiking partner! ~~ She is a chewer and we recommend heavy duty chew toys for her (such as Kongs and Nylabones) and plenty of playtime to stay busy and entertained ~~ Her favorite toys are ropes and elk bones! ~~ Freya does pull quite hard on the leash- shes a strong pup- and does best on a Gentle Leader for her walks ~~ Freya is fully housetrained and will bark at the door to let you know she needs to go! ~~ She is used to a fenced in yard but does have good recall once she trusts you! ~~ She would benefit from being fed a high quality, portion controlled diet to stay in tip-top shape ~~ She is very treat motivated and knows "sit", "lay down", and "stay" ~~ Basic obedience classes would be a good idea for Freya and her new human- ask a staff member about our partnership with Good Pup dog training ~~ Freya currently weighs about 48 pounds ~~ Could this lover be your new best buddy? ~~ Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care ~~ DEPOSITS MAY BE PLACED ON ADOPTABLE ANIMALS by calling 320-252-0896
