Description:
ROO
Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
DOB: 7-8 years old

Roo is a 7-8 year old Australian Cattle Dog. She is the most loving dog you will ever meet. Roo was used as a breeder all her life and then thrown away when they couldnt use her anymore. She was filthy and full of fleas. We had her spayed, removed a mammary gland tumor and caught her up with all her vet care. Roo acts like a puppy now.

Roo loves to play, loves attention and then is out like a light at 8pm. She is an amazing girl even though she is totally blind.

DITR took her to Dr. English, an eye specialist in Raleigh. He said the blindness was probably trauma induced and never treated. And now there is no treatment to help her vision. So, Roo cannot even see shadows. She is not in pain and needs no medication.

Roo is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and being maintained on monthly heartworm & flea/tick prevention.

She is a remarkable dog. She runs and plays without problem once she knows the area. Roo is good with other dogs, completely house-trained, loves squeak toys, does NOT like cats, heartworm negative and still has years ahead to provide love and joy to a new family. She deserves the best! A loving home with plenty of snuggles.

Although she will go up and down carpeted stairs, a one-story home would be easier for her.

Do you have love in your heart for Ms. Roo?

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
