In shelter Dog

South Bend, IN, 46660
Pet name:
Australian Shepherd
Tricolor (Brown, Black, & White)
Sasha is a young adult, about 2-3 years old. Believed to be an Aussie mix, maybe some shepherd. Sasha arrived to the rescue practically hairless and skinny. To our surprise Sasha was also pregnant. Sasha had 9 puppies, which is very hard to believe because she was so skinny. Sasha was recently spayed and also had a dental which removed some of her smaller teeth that had been worn away due to confinement in a too small enclosure. Sasha is shy in nature and is looking for a special adopter who can help her blossom. Sasha would need a securely fenced yard. She is crate trained and is working on her potty training. Sasha loves a plush dog bed with several blankets to make the perfect little nest. Sasha has a very sweet personality. Her preference for other dogs seems to be male and of her size. Sasha is about 40 pounds. No small dogs, puppies or cats.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
