IZZIE and Ivy, also posted on this Petfinder page, were abandoned in rural Mississippi and found just the right property to approach for help. Kind people fed them and reached out for help, since abandoning dogs is quite common in this area and the family could make just so many dogs theirs through the years. 

We welcome Ivy and Izzie into Grace Rescue and look forward to finding them loving FOREVER homes they so deserve. We do believe Ivy is the mother of Izzie. They do not require to be adopted together. 

When these sweet Beagle girls arrived at our vet clinic, of course both were loaded with intestinal parasites, which were immediately treated. Both needed dental care and needed to be spayed.  Izzie had no other issues, so she was able to be spayed and have thorough dental care immediately scheduled. She has already healed well from both her dental care and her spay. She was also microchipped when she was spayed. By Grace, both she and Ivy tested negative for heartworms! Izzie has been appropriately retested for heartworms, and she remains negative.  Izzie is ready now for her forever home. 

I have had the pleasure to spend quality time with Miss Izzie several times. OMGOSH! This baby will melt your heart. To say she is sweet and precious is an understatement. And, how friendly and loving she was to everyone in the room. I challenge anyone to meet her loving, cuddly, petite self and not want to take her home. 

Izzie is now enjoying a loving foster home in Germantown where she has 3 cat foster siblings, and all is well. Izzie is very accepting of and kind to all three kitties. Her foster dad says Izzie is doing great, has had no accidents, loves long walks in the neighborhood and is just a great little dog all around. She sleeps all night without a sound. He describes her as “a winner and sweet as can be!”

Izzie is estimated to be about 2 to 3 years young, probably closer to 3, and she weighs just 18 pounds, if that, making her a much sought pocket Beagle. She has that famous sweet Beagle temperament for which Beagles in general are highly sought as a family member. She is a bicolor, lemon Beagle with a beautiful coat and markings. She is plenty active but is not hyperactive, as many young Beagles can be. 

Her foster parents are Beagle savvy, since they adopted a Beagle from us 4 years ago. Her foster mom is quite the photographer, and we are in the process of getting even more pictures of Izzie,  pictures that do her justice. I have thrown into the mix a crate picture which I took on our way to her foster home. You really, really need to meet this baby in person to experience her precious personality and true beauty.

Our Beagles, especially our pocket Beagles (smaller ones), are very popular and never stay in rescue long unless we have not found the perfect match for them.
