You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello Friends, I received a call a few weeks ago about a puppy in need of rescue. Apparently she was was living with her mother at a mechanics shop and injured.. When I saw the picture of her injured eye I immediately took her under my wings and had my foster rush her to the vet. I named her Kitana. Unfortunately, Kitana and her mother lived at a mechanics workshop and because they didnt spay this poor mama she became a breeding machine. All I know is that the puppies were all given away to anyone that came along except for Kitana because of her injury. The situation in TJ Mexico is very sad for the dogs there. They are not taken care of and suffer a lot, but we made sure that mom got spayed as an agreement with the owner. Kitanas mama was malnourished and always begging for scraps. Well because all they ever get to eat are scraps of whatever the workers throw at them including CHICKEN BONES. Well here is the end result of is this poor baby I named Kitana. A CHICKEN BONE PIERCED HER UPPER JAW STRAIGHT THROUGH HER RIGHT CHEEK. Remember there were a lot of starving dogs on this property so of course they eat whatever is thrown at them and as fast as they can just so they can get another morsel of food. Thats exactly what happened to Kitana, she ate the chicken bone and it splintered and went straight through her upper jaw. Omg, Just imagine the pain. Kitana, was immediately rushed to a vet, bone removed, cleaned and given antibiotic. I then transported her to San Diego and took her to my vet. I also took her to an Ophthalmologist and had a more thorough exam done. Thankfully, shes healing well, sees normally and there is no pressure in her eye. Her eye is a tiny bit sunken in, but the vet said, because shes a puppy her body will naturally heal on its own. Kitana, is a very happy and sweet baby, she loves people and dogs of all sizes. Shes very smart and has already learned not to jump, she sits for treats and is so eager to continue learning. Additional training and if you continue acclimating her with people and other dogs this will definitely benefit her greatly. If you live in San Diego or surrounding areas have a home with a yard and a 6 foot fence, have experience with her breed and interested in adopting this precious girl please complete our adoption application at tlck9rescue.org
