Description:
Poppy is a 6 month old Black Mouth Cur Mix. She is currently 50 pounds but we believe she will grow to be 60-70 pounds. Poppy is playful with other dogs and loves cuddles from people. She has more of a laid back personality and enjoys belly rubs. She has four white paws and a cute curl to her tail sometimes and loves to chew on toys.

Poppy was pretty well behaved when she arrived at the shelter but soon lost all her manners. She now jumps up on people and no longer sits for treats. Poppy also needs work on house training. This behavior made her the perfect candidate for our PIP program. She was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. Poppy will be house trained, leash trained, and learn some tricks too. When she graduates in mid November, she will be ready for adoption.

If you would like to meet her, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or visit at 17379 Highway 9, Mountain View, Arkansas. You can also go on-line at schspets.org and complete an adoption application.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
