Marigold is a 9 month old, female, 35 lb., possible Border Collie/Terrier Mix that came to us from Oklahoma. She is doing well with house training but she needs to be on a consistent schedule since she does not yet alert when she needs to go outside. She is kennel trained. Marigold spent her first couple of weeks with us in a foster home where she was not compatible with the resident dog. Since being transferred to a new foster home a few weeks ago she is doing very well. There are several dogs, large and small, in the home and she does well with all of them, but she did have a few spats on occasion the first few days. Marigold does have some resource guarding with her food bowl so she needs to be fed separately. She does have some anxiety when left alone, but that has resolved itself with the companionship of the other dogs in her foster home. Marigold needs a consistent schedule and a family that can continue working on her training. It takes a few weeks for Marigold to settle into a routine but once she does she is a happy-go-lucky puppy! She did well with that cat in her previous foster home but has no access to cats at this time. Marigold does well with kids too, but her energy level may not be suited to the toddler age because she could easily knock them down. Marigold is a gem and with time to adjust and continued training she has the potential to be the perfect dog!
