Description:
Mira came to us after giving birth to her babies at the county shelter and will have been with us for a year on 1/15/2022. She was a phenomenal mom to her 8 babies. Once her puppies were weaned, we did find out that she was heartworm positive. She has gone through the treatment process and responded very well.

Mira loves everyone and has been around kids ages 9+. We recommend her being with older children (9 and up) due to her energy/excitement level. The perfect family for Mira would be someone that wants to enjoy walks with her in a neighborhood, that will allow her to sploot on the floor with toys or curl up on the couch, someone that enjoys her zoomies and can also just let her cuddle next to you.

Mira would like to be the center of your world so a home with just her would be best. She has done okay with a dog smaller than her but does not enjoy the company of dogs her size or larger. She does ride in the car very well and will just sit next to you until she gets bored and curls up in the seat for a nap.

Mira has a very quirky personality and that is what makes her the perfect girl. She goes from 0-60 in seconds. She loves to lay on the floor with her back legs stretched out (sploot) and play with her toys. Her favorite is her tennis ball and she will somewhat play fetch. However, she also enjoys just laying on a comfy bed or next to you and just hanging out. When she is excited she gets this crazy look in her eyes and then takes off with her zoomies and she is funny to watch. She loves to be pet and her super soft coat makes it easy but butt scratches are her absolute favorite thing. Mira also enjoys having conversations and she likes to make her point heard. She can be a very vocal lady. Our favorite thing about her is her ears, her ears are so perky. One of our volunteers had nicknamed her "fruit bat" because of them.

Mira has been spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She is current on her heartworm prevention and will need to be with a family that will continue to make sure she gets this medication so that she never has to go through the treatment process again.

Mira would love nothing more than to find that perfect family that will embrace her quirky side while also allowing her to be a lazy lady. If you are that person then please reach out to us and setup a meet and greet with this girl. We promise you wont regret it.
