A SMART & LOVING GIRL:  5 years old / 61 lbs.  

Hi, my name is Lindy!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control heartworm positive and looking for a great home.  The love of the volunteers is helping me open up more and more each day and they describe me as gentle, smart and loving.  I’m realizing I’ve landed in a good place and can’t wait for the good life that awaits me! 

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I will want to be your only dog.  My trainer is continuing to work with me around other dogs.  I have shown some interest without growling but I’m still no other dogs. / No cats please as I am way too interested in them, not in a good way. / I met kids around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts, and liked them, so if you have kids around that age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  Also, kids shouldn’t walk me due to my dislike of other dogs. 

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  When I first arrived, I was shy and unsure, but I soon realized that I was safe and began to show my sweet and loving nature.  I am an affectionate and gentle girl, just ready to be loved.  The volunteers have already noticed how smart I am, and I am eager to please people as shown below with all the commands I’ve quickly learned. / My energy level is 4-6.   
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my gentle leader as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been very good on the shelter schedule.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I am all about the belly rubs!  I’ll freely give sweet kisses in return.  I’m not playing with toys just yet, but I do stare at them in interest, so perhaps you can show me how much fun they can be.  In the meantime, I do love my chew bone, cuddle time and those yummy Pup-Peroni. / Loud noises and trucks startle me, and I have shown that I do not like restraint. Also, I am a bit shy of hands over my head until I know you.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training.

• MEDICAL:   Im current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on a monthly heartworm preventative, so I am heartworm positive. I’m going to start my treatment September 19th. Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of my treatment with their vet, so local adoption only, please.

I am looking for a great home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
