Meet Allison, a.k.a Allie! This sweet little pup was living as a stray behind a church for several months, and no one was looking for her. The parishioners started watching out for Allie and feeding her, and she made friends with one of the members, Bob, who takes care of the property. Bob was able to gain her trust and brought her home. He reached out to Worthy Dog for help finding her a good family and offered to foster her. We are so thankful that Bob stepped up to save Allie. Shes only a year old and was not yet spayed. His good deed most likely saved her from being injured or getting pregnant, bringing another litter of unwanted puppies into the world, or being taken in by the wrong people. We were happy to help this Good Samaritan and Allie too. Allie is being fostered as an only dog, but shes been around other dogs and enjoys their company. Shes settled into her foster home pretty easily, and even walks well on leashwhich was surprising! She was initially a little timid but has gotten better as shes settled in. We expect her to continue to improve as she gets more exposure to being part of a home/family. She seems to have good house manners. Bob has been giving her frequent potty breaks, and shes had no accidents in the home. Allie has the playful energy of a young terrier. She will need daily walks and playtime to be a happy, balanced pup. She would love to have another pup buddy in her home to play with but would be fine as an only dog. Apply today!
