Ella is the perfect balance of friendly and independent. She likes receiving attention from the volunteers, but is not needy. She enjoys the company of other cats, but also does well by herself. She is young and playful, sleek and beautiful. Ella can be found up high in a cat tree. She loves to peek out of her area and is curious of her surroundings. All in all, she adapts well and would be a wonderful addition to your home.
Ella is FIV positive and lives in our FIV colony room. However, many kitties with FIV live as long and as healthfully as other cats without the virus as long as they receive good nutrition and good medical care, which is what any cat should receive anyway! FIV is very difficult to transmit between cats, and poses no health risk to humans. It is spread primarily among cats through deep, penetrating bite wounds. Ella could live with other FIV+ kitties, or even with kitties who dont have the virus if they are not aggressive.
