MEET POPPY! It may not be this young ladies pictures that will win you over, but her heart surely will! When you visit For the Cats Sake, several cats will greet you as part of a self-appointed welcoming committee, but few as warmly as Poppy. For anyone who has seen Dreamworks Trolls, youll understand that she perfectly personifies the perky protagonist of the film. This sweetheart was surrendered to us, through no fault of her own, when her owners child developed asthma. We were concerned about the health of her eyes and got her to the vet, who gave her an all clear. The slightly cloudy areas in her eyes are not progressive and do not dim her happy, playful, and loving personality at all. In fact, she was one of the most wonderfully calm and resilient kitties throughout the whole time with our volunteer, the car rides and the vet appointment. Her easy-going personality extends to other cats, children and even dogs! She really is one of the most amazing family kitties around! If youre interested in meeting/adopting this absolute sweetheart please complete the following form: TO ADOPT "POPPY":

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
