Birdie is a sugary sweet girl and creates a strong bond with her people. This social butterfly has never met a stranger and is the first to greet guests at the door, whether it be a friend or a repairman. One of my friends affectionately refers to Birdie as a “flirt” as she enjoys showing off in exchange for some love and pets. She doesn’t mind being picked up and carried like a baby or getting a gentle tummy rub. Though she is incredibly tolerant of people, she likes to claim her space around other kitties. She doesn’t want to be picked on or played with, so she verbally sets her boundaries and lets another kitty know if they are too close. She gets along well with other non-invasive, independent cats, but would do best in a home without a super playful, imposing feline. Birdie is the perfect twist of playful and sweet, as she runs wide open with a cat toy on a string but then also tends to be a major cuddle bug and couch potato. There is usually a warm body hugging close to your leg as you watch TV when Birdie is around. She is quite a shadow kitty and will follow you room-to-room, and she will wait patiently in the bathroom for you to get out of the shower or blow dry your hair. She is cool as a cucumber and genuinely appreciates quality time with her people. I hope someone can love her as much as I do!
